Firm Wins Award for Excellence in Service (By KATHLEEN DOOLEY - Staff writer - TIMES UNION Albany, New York)
English Connection, a division of Connect International Corp., has won the Global Business Network of New York's Capital Region 1999 Excellence in Export honor in the category Export Award for Services.
Joanne P. Kubricky, President and CEO of English Connection, received the award from keynote speaker John Egan, Chief Executive Officer of Albany International Airport, at a reception and dinner at the Albany Marriott on May 19.
English Connection is located at 480 Broadway, in Saratoga Springs. The company provides Intensive English Language and Cultural Immersion Programs. It recruits foreign nationals from more than 80 countries to the Capital Region to take part in cultural immersion programs. Students live with local families, who benefit by taking part in an international cultural experience.
