Spotlight: Ball Corporation
Manufacturers of metal and plastic containers, with plants worldwide including Saratoga
Springs, has plans to open two new plants in the country of Brazil. In preparation for the
opening, 44 Brazilian engineers came to Saratoga Springs for training. The supervisors all
studied the English language at EC for six months on a daily basis. They learned all the
necessary language skills, idiomatic expressions, as well as American customs that would
be helpful to them in their jobs in Brazil.
